A 24-year-old man will spend six years in prison after a range of drug offenses, including using a teen to sell marijuana for him.

Angel Duarte was also sentenced last week to five years' extended supervision once he is released, according to Brown County Circuit Court records. The sentencing involved three separate cases with all sentences, from nine months to six years, to be served concurrently, or at the same time. Duarte is also known as "Gordo" and was involved in a marijuana distribution ring.

The most prominent case involved Duarte using Evan Larscheid, now 17, to sell marijuana. Police found 4 pounds of high-grade marijuana valued at about $16,000, and $1,600 cash in a black Mercedes-Benz Larscheid was driving last year in Ashwaubenon. Larscheid was sentenced to a year in jail involving that incident and is expected to enter a plea in another marijuana case later this month.

Duarte has a pre-trial conference scheduled for later this month in a marijuana possession case from Outagamie County.
