A 28-year-old Green Bay woman has been charged in connection with a 2010 shooting.

Vanessa Ramirez faces up to 60 years in prison on a felony charge of being a party to attempted first-degree intentional homicide. She is accused of playing a part in the shooting of Henry Espino-Abrego, 27, who was wounded the night of June 4, 2010. He then walked up to a stranger's home for help in the 5400 block of Glenmore Road in the town of Glenmore.

According to a criminal complaint, Espino-Abrego spoke with a detective in October 2012 while he was in custody at the Manitowoc County Jail. He said Ramirez's boyfriend had given him a gram of methamphetamine to sell, but that he used it instead. Espino-Abrego said that he was later riding in a car with that man and Ramirez was driving. He said they stopped in an area between De Pere and Denmark and that he and the man got out of the car while Ramirez stayed inside. He said the man then shot him with an automatic handgun.
