Tom Schmidt hopes to turn things around at Seymour Speedway in 2013.

Schmidt this year decided to take the bull by the horns and assume the most thankless of tasks, becoming the president of NEW DIRT, the club that operates the 1/3-mile clay oval on Sunday nights.

Last season, Seymour ran into a few snags, among them were some subpar track conditions. As a result, many drivers stopped coming, and so did fans. ...
