MSA announces two promotions

MSA Professional Services, Marshfield, now in its 51st year as an incorporated firm, is entering a new era. The firm announced the following promotions: Gilbert Hantzsch, president; and Mike Statz, chairman of the board of directors. David Murphy, former president/board chairman, retires in June.

Hantzsch has been on MSA's board of directors since 2007. He also serves on the board of the American Council of Engineering Cos. of Wisconsin and is slated to be named as the organization's national director for 2013-2014, representing ACEC in Washington, D.C. Three of his projects received top ACEC awards for engineering excellence in Wisconsin and Iowa. He received master's and bachelor's degrees in civil and environmental engineering, respectively, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Statz has served on MSA's board since 2008. He is the vice chairman of the ACEC Wisconsin Department of Transportation Committee. His design projects have received awards for engineering excellence from ACEC Wisconsin and WisDOT. He has a master's of business administration from Edgewood College, Madison, and a bachelor of science in civil engineering from UW-Madison.

Financial adviser honored

Randy Gershman, a financial adviser for Edward Jones in Marshfield, was recently honored by the firm for his job performance.

This recognition earned Gershman an invitation to Edward Jones' annual Managing Partners Conference in April in Scottsdale, Ariz. Gershman was one of only 350 out of more than 11,000 Edward Jones financial advisers invited to attend the conference.
