By the 1960s, Curly Lambeau and Arnie Herber had become legends to many in Green Bay and across the realm of professional football, but each meant something more to their respective grandchild.

Lambeau founded the Packers in 1919 and led the team to the franchise's first six NFL championships, but John Lambeau knew him only as the grandfather who took him fishing and hiking while spending time together at the family cottage. ...
