Public concern surrounding the Sheboygan County Humane Society's leadership is evolving into worries about how the shelter is being run by its board of directors and how the animals housed there are faring.

About 100 people attended a public forum Tuesday, held by a group of supporters and former employees of the Humane Society to discuss issues surrounding the shelter's veterinarian being suspended and its executive director facing criminal charges.
