The Arts at the UW season continues with "Americana" at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, featuring the symphonic band in the Helen Connor Laird Theatre at the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County, 2000 W. Fifth St.

"Americana," sponsored by the Laird Fund for the Arts, will feature music from John Philip Sousa, John Williams, Leroy Anderson and Robert Russell Bennett.

The concert celebrates America; opening with Carmen Dragon's stirring "America, the Beautiful," a rendition that has become a standard for wind bands around the country. ...
