The state Department of Workforce Development is launching the second phase of a statewide initiative to boost employer and worker participation in Wisconsin Apprenticeship.

DWD Secretary Reggie Newson announced the next steps Wednesday at Green Bay Packaging Inc. They include billboards in Green Bay, Madison, Milwaukee and Wausau and a new public service announcement available on YouTube, online and on TV stations.

The department previously launched the initiative with a variety of materials designed to engage employers, including brochures and an educational video.
