REINS seeks volunteer walker guides

REINS, Inc., a nonprofit program committed to improving the lives of people with special needs through individually structured classes using therapeutic interactions with horses, is seeking volunteers to walk beside horses during the classes.

Training for those interested in volunteering with this worthwhile program is provided. The dates of the training are:

? Saturday, May 18, at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

? Thursday, May 23, at 5:30 p.m.

? Wednesday, May 29, at 5:30 p.m.

? Saturday, June 1, at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Interested volunteers need to attend only one session before helping with classes. Contact Rose Smith at 920-923-4713 to sign up. Help is needed for the 2013 season, which will start Monday, June 10. Classes are held Monday through Wednesday at 4 p.m., 5:15 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

The REINS program is located at Snow Hill Farms, N7189 County Road T, Glenbeulah, eight miles west of Plymouth and one mile north of Highway 23. For more information and to fill out a volunteer application form, visit www.reins-wi.org.
