Friends and family members of a town of Corning woman missing for more than a week continue to hope for her safe return as a search-and-rescue organization waits to offer assistance.

Investigators have performed several extensive ground, air and water searches for Anita Bucki, 48, who was reported missing April 26. Bucki's husband, Mark Bucki, told police he awoke at about 5 a.m. to find his wife gone, but her purse and other personal belongings were left behind. So far, few details have been released to the public - or to the family - about the results of those searches.
