Southern Door's offense took a steady, consistent approach to an important win over another Door County team as the Eagles beat Sturgeon Bay, 11-4, in a Packerland Conference high school girls softball game Friday night in Brussels.

"It was a big game," Southern Door coach Pat Delcore said. "We want to stay within one game of Algoma, plus they're doing the seeding (for the postseason tournaments) next week. (Sturgeon Bay) has got a nice team, plus they're a county rival, so it was important to play well."
