Eating out at noon and leaving work at 5 p.m. can be bad ideas, because that's when it seems everyone else is having their midday meal or departing for the day.

When our schedule is unable to avoid those times, our patience can be tested as we wait for what seems like hours in restaurants or in traffic. Fast food isn't so fast when there are 10 vehicles ahead of us in the drive-thru lane.

When Milwaukee Brewers fans see relief pitchers surrender another home run to let their opponent back in the game or relinquish the lead altogether, many hairs can be pulled out in anguish. ...
