D.C. Everest softball team wins pair of games in home tournament

WESTON - Makayla Pagel went 3 for 3 with a two-run home run as the D.C. Everest softball team rolled to an 8-1 over Wisconsin Dells to finish with a 2-0 record in its home tournament Saturday.

Emily Bruns went 3 for 4 with two RBIs in a 10-2 win over Tomahawk in the opening game of the tournament. Brooke Gajewski limited Tomahawk to five hits, striking out nine and walking none. Alex DuPlayee took the loss for Tomahawk.

Kaitlyn LePine went 2 for 3 with a two-run double against Wisconsin Dells, which beat Tomahawk 12-8. ...
