Gem, mineral show is crowd pleaser (with video)

Each year, about 1,200 people attend the Gem, Mineral, Fossil & Jewelry Show at Marshfield High School. Attendance was brisk Saturday during the first day of the two-day event.

"People come from all over Wisconsin for this. It's been really busy (Saturday)," said Cindy Preston of Mosinee, a member of the Heart of Wisconsin Gem and Mineral Society, which has hosted the annual event for 40 years.
