Sigler scores six goals to tie own school record

Mary Sigler had another record-setting night, but it didn't overshadow the accomplishment of teammate Maddie Gutsch.

While the Assumption junior standout went about equaling her school record of six goals in a single game, Gutsch, a freshman on the squad scored her first varsity goal in the second half of the game as the Royals cruised past Newman Catholic 8-1 on a cold and rainy Friday night at Washington Field.

Gutsch, found the back of the net on her third shot on goal at 49 minutes, 31 seconds of the second half, to put Assumption up 7-1. ...
