Take some time to thank a teacher

The week of May 6-10, 2013 is National Teacher Appreciation Week. Every day, in classrooms across Wisconsin Rapids, teachers are making a positive difference in the lives of the children and families of our community.

Every evening across Wisconsin Rapids, teachers are putting in many extra hours preparing lessons, grading papers, providing feedback to students and parents, attending meetings, taking classes, and supervising and attending events in support of their students. Today's teachers do much more than teach basic skills, and they do it despite many obstacles.

Because of these dedicated professionals, the students of our community are taught to think critically and independently, to problem solve, to resolve conflict, and to work cooperatively with others. Students are nurtured and they are inspired. Please join us in thanking teachers for the important work that they do!
