Court St. Ann, Catholic Daughters of American, announce annual education contest winners:

Art I: Derek Bathke, first; Delaney Weiler, second; Ryan Hustedt, third, all in fifth grade at St. Vincent de Paul.

Poetry I: Delaney Weiler, first; Maria Hartley, second; and Abigail Berard, third, all in fifth grade at St. Vincent.

Poetry III: McKenna Reinke, first; Kathelyn Rustad, second; and Taylor Gulenchyn, third, all in ninth grade at Assumption High School.

Poetry IV: Marjorie Hamm.

Essay I: Isabelle Varga, first; Paige Donahue, second; and Brian Harms, third, all in fifth grade at St. Vincent.

Essay III: McKenna Reinke, first; Mason Oertli, second; and David Dachel, third, all in ninth grade at Assumption.

First-place winners, mothers and teachers were guests at the dinner meeting April 18. All read their entries or described their artwork.

Thank you to all who entered and to judges Sylvia, Cathy and John.

The next meeting will be May 16 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven.
