Gamblers turn focus to rebuilding through draft

Green Bay Gamblers coach Derek Lalonde found one positive to his team not advancing to the Clark Cup finals for the first time since 2009.

The Gamblers' coaching staff won't have to juggle preparing for a championship series while also conducting the USHL draft.

"(Director of player of personnel) Pat Mikesch and his staff have been on top of it all year and we're going to be prepared, but it has been a luxury to have a little more energy and be a little more thorough in the 10 to 12 days we have in approaching the draft," Lalonde said. ...
