Postal Service drive to help fight hunger

On Saturday the United States Postal Service, National Association of Letter Carriers, and the Campbell Soup Company will be collecting food for the Stamp Out Hunger initiative in Stevens Point.

Now in its 21st year, the annual food drive has grown into a national effort that provides assistance to the millions of Americans struggling to put food on the table.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, more than 50 million Americans are food insecure, meaning they live at risk of hunger. Almost 17 million children in America are struggling with hunger. ...
