As two Wisconsin Rapids families work to recover from fires that damaged their homes within less than a week of each other, community members and relief organizations are reaching out to help.

An April 26 fire displaced a family on Grove Avenue; a fire late Tuesday afternoon destroyed a home for two brothers on Seventh Avenue South.

"I don't know what's in store for me, what has to be done," said Charlie Crump, 51, who lived at the Seventh Avenue South home with his brother, Christian, 46, who owns the house. ...
