West High band revives historic 'Music for Moderns' concerts

Band directors at Oshkosh West High School have revived a popular concert series that brought national attention to the district between the 1950s and 1970s by showcasing original scores, professional performers and a taste of modern music.

The school is bringing back Music for Moderns, a signature spring concert that lasted the 17-year tenure of former band director James Croft in the days of the district's single-campus Oshkosh High School in the city's downtown district.
