Decision to wear motorcycle helmet saves Beaver Dam woman's life

Doreen Tesch was going only a mile down the road to watch her teenage daughter ride her horse.

For a reason she still can't remember, Tesch decided at the last minute to strap on her helmet before climbing on the back of the Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by her boyfriend, Lee Rich.

"We had been out cruising around town earlier that day without our helmets on, enjoying the gorgeous spring day," the 40-year-old Tesch said. "The last thing I remember was looking over Lee's shoulder to see if the horses were out in the pasture." ...
