Portesi Fund supports school projects

The Portesi Fund for Catholic Education has awarded grants for seven projects that will enhance the educational experiences in four local Catholic schools.

St. Bronislava Elementary School will receive a comprehensive reading program called "Reading A-Z Subscription" for first- and second-grade students. Students in third, fourth and fifth grades will be using updated materials for more interactive and hands-on learning in science with the purchase of new activity centers. Also funded through the Portesi Grants will be "What's New With Newzbrain?" a weekly current events quiz ...
