Body recovered in Mississippi River in St. Paul

The Ramsey County Sheriff's Office and St. Paul Fire Department recovered a body under a barge south of the Robert Street Bridge on the Mississippi around 1:30 p.m. today , according to KARE 11 in Minneapolis.

Ramsey County Sheriff's Public Information Officer Randy Gustafson said that the investigation is in the preliminary stages.

Gustafson did not reveal the age or sex or speculate on how long the body had been in the water, according to KARE 11, a Gannett affiliate. The body will be identified by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office. ...
