Letter: Two 'angels' kept me from losing purse

'Angels' kept me from losing purse

EDITOR: After reading the recent letter from Jerry and Silvia Wagner about their experience with Janke Book Store, I decided to share my own experience with two angels.

A few weeks ago, I had an appointment in Mosinee. On opening the garage door, I noticed the recycle bins were empty and went to retrieve them. I put my purse down on the back bumper of my Suburban, picked up the bins, got into my car, backed out of my garage, turned five corners to get on the highway in Rib Mountain and drove to Mosinee.

As I drove into the Marshfield Clinic parking lot, two cars that I had seen on the highway followed me into the lot and pulled up behind me. As I opened my door, the lady in the first car called out to tell me there was a purse on the back bumper. She had followed me to make sure it didn't fall. Behind her was a man in a red truck who had also followed to make sure that my purse stayed safe. I was so stunned at their kindness, I don't think I thanked them properly, but I shudder to think what I might have lost, if not for these two angels. I wish to sincerely thank them again.

Mary Lou Milner,
