County athletes excel at Algoma Invitational

Sturgeon Bay's Anthony Anderson and Casey Rosenthal, and Gibraltar's Andrew Peot won multiple events Tuesday at the Algoma Invitational high school track and field meet.

For the second time in less than a week, Anderson reset his school record in the triple jump with a winning leap of 44 feet, 1.5 inches. He also won the long jump at 20 feet.

Rosenthal won the shot put (51-2.5) and discus (135-0), and Peot swept the 100-meter (23.42 seconds) and 200 sprints (23.42). Anderson placed third in the 200 (23.71). ...
