Pat Blizel's second stint as Sturgeon Bay High School's varsity girls basketball coach is over.

Blizel, 49, said he's resigning to commit more of his time to his job as the school's athletic director. He also teaches social studies at T.J. Walker Middle School.

"It's extremely difficult to be successful at both jobs," he said. "I just don't think I can help the girls as much as I thought when I came back because of the time commitment involved with being AD. I can't do everything, and I had to pick and choose. I want to stay on as AD as long as Sturgeon Bay High School wants me to be AD."

Blizel coached Sturgeon Bay the past three seasons following a five-year stint from 2002-03 to 2006-07. The Clippers finished 11-11 overall and 7-7 in the Packerland Conference last season.
