Session covers health care reform

Schenck is hosting a free seminar from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on June 18 at the Butte des Morts Country Club, 3600 W. Prospect Ave. on health care reform.

Presenters will discuss what provisions go into effect and what businesses should address today, and what to expect in the future. The main focus of the workshop will be the employer mandate penalties, however many aspects of health care reform will be addressed.

Topics to be discussed include: individual mandate: tax on individuals for failing to carry health insurance; fees imposed on self-insured health plans; insurance exchanges; overview of benefits/insurance changes including effective dates.
