School Board narrowly approves changes to officer duties

The Marshfield School Board has narrowly approved a change to the responsibilities its officers carry out.

The board voted 4-3 Wednesday night to set a policy that the board treasurer will serve on the Finance Committee. This came after the board rejected the Policy Committee's recommendation, by the same vote, that the treasurer would not automatically be on the committee.

The treasurer has historically served on the Finance Committee, but it was more of a tradition than anything else, said Frances Bohon, who was in the minority for both votes, along with Mark Critelli and Amber Leifheit. ...
