Letter: Tea Party hypocritical on finances

Editor: The hypocrisy from the Tea Party is quite entertaining. They pretend to be so fiscally conservative and are self-proclaimed stewards of the taxpayer's money.

Tea Party darling Scott Walker creates this new entity called the WEDC. (Smaller government?) It is run so poorly that millions of dollars go unaccounted, and what do they do? They call in Central Wisconsin Tea Party member Reed Hall to help right the ship.

The previous holder of Reed Hall's new position in Scott Walker's regime was paid $120,000 per year. Being the true Tea Party Patriot that Reed Hall is, his fiscal conservatism at the forefront of his concerns, Mr. Hall was given a $65,000 salary increase a month after taking the job.

Now, one would have to wonder if the job of straightening out Scott Walker's mess was way bigger than $120,000 salary could fix, or if $1,000 donation to Scott Walker's campaign helped to justify an almost 55 percent pay increase.

How many of you taxpayers have seen a 55 percent increase in your pay after one month on the job? How about 10 years on the job?

If you really think the Tea Party is about fiscal conservatism and patriotism, think again. When our great Tea Party governor creates new government entities, and that entity loses track of millions of dollars, that party loses all credibility as being fiscally conservative. And when members of that party take 55 percent raises to clean up after their inept leader, they are not really a true patriot. They are Typublicrites. Typical Republican Hypocrites.
