Adams agreement on solar panels nears completion

County-level discussions on hold while officials investigate conservationist's involvement in project

City leaders are hopeful they will finalize an agreement with an international renewable energy company by next week in order to facilitate the construction of a manufacturing plant in the Adams Business Park.

The City Council already approved the deal in principle, and staff members are formulating the plan into a legal document, said Robert Ellisor, city administrator. After two meetings this week to discuss the project, including a closed session Wednesday to discuss the development agreement, council members plan to meet today to review and potentially finalize the proposal.
