Girls soccer: Clippers derail mighty Zephyrs with shutout victory

Sturgeon Bay took down a Packerland Conference giant Thursday night.

Gilly Davison and Caroline Haen scored second-half goals and the Clippers shut out the St. Mary Central Zephyrs, 2-0, in a high school girls soccer game in Menasha.

"This is essentially conference," said Clippers coach Paul Lutze, stating the importance of the victory. "We have four games to go yet, but we've beaten the top three teams in the conference and we hold our own destiny now." ...
