May 11, 1955 - Good Shepherd Bazaar to be held June 26: Sisters of Our Lady of Charity today announced that the third annual open house and bazaar at their school and home at Porlier and S. Webster Streets will be June 26.

Three years ago a bazaar was organized and the public welcomed inside the walls of what was known for many years as the Home of the Good Shepherd for the first time in 25 years. The Sisters have purchased property and are accumulating funds to finance new buildings and transfer from the property across from St. Vincent's Hospital. It is a cloistered community.

This year's bazaar will include band concerts by the Sisters Magdalens Band, hot meals and refreshments, entertainment, tours of the buildings, and booths of hand made goods and articles which are typical of an old fashioned parish bazaar.
