Pointers baseball one win from capturing WIAC tourney title

The day probably won't go down in the all-time baseball video archives at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Then again, historians won't give any grades out in assessing its opening day of the 2013 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament on Saturday.

It may not have been the prettiest, but the Pointers still found a way to pick up a pair of victories, defeating UW-Oshkosh 10-8 and UW-La Crosse 6-3, at Prucha Field at James B. Miller Stadium, and move one win away from capturing the WIAC championship and an automatic bid to NCAA Division III regional play. ...
