SPENCER - The Neillsville and Spencer softball teams entered their doubleheader showdown Saturday stood atop the Cloverbelt Conference East Division standings with unbeaten records.

When the final out was recorded, the Warriors and Rockets still found themselves tied in the conference having handed each their first Cloverbelt East loss of the season.

Spencer picked up a 12-10 win in a slugfest in the first game only to watch Neillsville bounce back to secure a 12-6 victory behind a 16-hit attack in the nightcap of the Cloverbelt East battle of heavyweights. ...
