Purses for Pooches

The Toto Endowment's third annual Purses For Pooches fundraiser will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Waupaca Country Club, 1330 Ware St., Waupaca. The event will feature a Mexican buffet, homemade desserts and shopping. Tickets are $25. Send payment to Kelly McBride, E3481 Royalton St., Waupaca, WI 54981. Geranium sale

Appleton Medical Center Volunteers will host a geranium sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at the corner of Glendale and Viola streets. Geraniums from cuttings, flowers and greens will be available for purchase. Proceeds benefit AMC Volunteers' health care scholarship fund.

Pancakes, plants, quilts

The sixth annual Linda's "All U Can Eat Pancakes" breakfast, plant and quilt sale will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1750 Midway Road, Menasha. The breakfast also includes sausage, fruit, coffee cake, milk and coffee. Cost: $5 ages 11 and up, $3 ages 4-10 and free for ages 3 and under. Plants and baby- to king-size quilts will be available for purchase. Proceeds benefit the church and local charities.

Master Gardener plant sale

The Outagamie County Master Gardener Association will offer plants and advice at 8 a.m. Saturday at the University of Wisconsin-Extension office at 3365 W. Brewster St., Appleton. Flea Market Faire

Clintonville United Methodist Church, 41 N. Main St., will host its Flea Market Faire from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The event is part of the Clintonville citywide rummage sale and will be held outside under tents, along with a bake sale, silent auction, food and music. Things That GO!

The King's Daughters Charity Circle will hold its second annual Things That GO! event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Pierce Park, 1035 W. Prospect Ave., Appleton. This is a family fun day where children can explore more than 50 different types of vehicles. Food vendors and entertainment also will be featured. Robenolt benefit

A Celebration of Support event for Scott Robenolt will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday at Headliners, 2788 Towne Court, Neenah. At age 30, Scott was diagnosed with Early-Onset of Parkinson's disease. He has had multiple procedures, including three brain surgeries, and has been unable to work since 2008. The event will feature food, prizes, raffles, auctions and music by Crazy Ivan from 6 to 8 p.m. Suggested donation is $5 individual, $20 families. Safety Scavenger Hunt

The Town of Menasha Fire Department will host its free annual event for children of all ages from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Palisades Park/Fire Station 41, 1000 Valley Road, Menasha. Visit safety booths to complete a scavenger hunt card and collect a prize. Meet the firefighters and tour the fire station. Kids can put on firefighter gear and participate in the water challenge. Burgers and brats will be for sale with proceeds to benefit the American Red Cross and public education.

Neenah Animal Shelter Garden Party

A fundraising event at the Neenah Animal Shelter, 951 County Road G, Neenah, will offer a wide variety of plants and gardening items for sale as well as raffles and a large selection of home-baked goods from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. Saturday and May
19. Guided tours of the shelter will be given beginning at noon each day.

Vintage Fashion Show

The Community Clothes Closet will hold its sixth Fox Cities Vintage Fashion Show from 2 to 4 p.m. May 19 at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel, 333 W. College Ave., Appleton. Doors open at 1 p.m. Volunteers from the community will model vintage fashions from the 1950s through the 1980s. The event also will feature a vintage clothing sale, silent auction, celebrity autographed photos and memorabilia items. Tickets are $15 and available at, the Community Clothes Closet, or at the door. Proceeds fund the CCC's mission to provide free clothing to those in need in the Fox Valley. Piano concert

Helen Exner and Noah Harmon will be the featured performers at a classical and jazz piano concert at 2:30 p.m. May 19 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 3009 N. Meade St., Appleton. Refreshments will be provided. Free. Donations will benefit the Burundi Education Fund for schoolchildren in Burundi, Africa. The fund was founded by Egide Nimubona, an engineer from Burundi who teaches at Fox Valley Technical College.
