Art Fair celebrates 50th year

The Marshfield Art Fair celebrated on Sunday its 50th year of making visual arts and culture accessible to the community.

The Marshfield Art Committee held its first art fair Sept. 19, 1964. The group intended for the event to be outdoors, but rain moved it inside the city's armory.

The second art fair was held outside at Columbia Park on Aug. 14, 1965. It featured 115 artists, up from 75 the first year. ...
