Suspect picked locks on area gym lockers to steal credit cards, investigators say

A Chicago man has been arrested and charged with stealing credit cards from lockers at area health clubs and using the cards to make purchases.

Nicholas Soteras, 42, is charged in Brown County Court with four misdemeanor counts of credit card theft and four felony counts of using those cards to obtain money. He faces up to 27 years in prison if convicted. His adjourned initial appearance is set for Friday.

Brown County investigators have been working on the case since October, when they got a photograph of Soteras from video surveillance. They circulated the photograph and alerted area health ...
