May 13, 1947 - Pioneer dairy supply firm observes 75th anniversary: Approximately 400 guests helped the Bingham and Risdon Company, dairy supply firm, celebrate its 75th anniversary in business at a dinner party in the Beaumont Hotel Monday evening. The occasion was symbolized when Miss Augusta Kidney, De Pere, and Claude Rolf, Escanaba, bookkeeper and clerk, respectively, for the store half a century ago, cut a huge birthday cake with "75" in white icing.

Guests at the ceremony were Paul E. Kriedeman of Joannes Brothers Company, and Wesley Garner, of the F. Hurlbut Company, other veteran Green Bay concerns. The coal firm is 90 years old, and the wholesale grocery company is nearing the 75-year mark, it was stated.

R.H. Risdon, company president, introduced employees, former employees, and several old friends of the company, Leo N. Van Sistine, who on May 1 observed his 47th year with the company, was made "vice-president in charge of fishing."
