Green Bay police investigate armed robberies

Green Bay police are investigating a pair of apparently unrelated armed robberies that occurred within 20 minutes of each other Sunday night.

Just before 10 p.m., a man walked into Terry's E Z Go at 401 Mather St., displayed a gun and demanded money, according to the Green Bay Police Department.

He left on foot and was found a few blocks away attempting to hide a near a garage, police said. A gun was found along with a bag containing money and clothing matching the description of the suspect.

The case remains under investigation.

At 10:17 p.m., police say a man displayed a knife at the Pump Citgo at 1233 Velp Ave. and demanded money.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s, about 5 feet 6 inches tall with a medium build, "dirty blonde" hair and a "greasy complexion," according to police. He was wearing a tan jacket over a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and a multicolored red and gray baseball cap with a straight brim.

An arrest has not been made in this case and it remains under investigation.
