Ex-Bay Port basketball standout Hottenstine looks overseas for next challenge

Jake Hottenstine has had several big moments during his basketball career, including leading Bay Port to state and earning a scholarship to the University of Minnesota-Duluth, an NCAA Division II school.

None might be bigger than Saturday, when he will take the first step toward what he hopes is a professional career overseas after recently finishing a decorated career at UMD.

The 6-foot-3 guard will take part in a scouting combine in Chicago, hoping to attract some interest the way he did while earning a scholarship. ...
