Qualifying for state in cross country my junior year. After the race, I was not sure if had I made it. When I was informed that I had in fact qualified for state, I was pretty excited. It was nice to see all the time that I had put in over the years finally pay off.

Advice to an athlete:

I would tell them that after it is all said and done, win or lose, it is just a game.

Your inspiration:

My middle school cross country coach was my first real inspiration to try to achieve in athletics. He made the idea of making it to state seem attainable and supplied the encouragement to make it possible.
