College plans

Plan to go to Winona State University for athletic training. I chose this major because sports has played a huge part in my life and I want to continue to be around sports throughout my life.

Favorite sports memory:

My favorite high school memory is becoming volleyball regional champion this past fall. It was a goal I had throughout my high school sports career to get that far and to experience that feeling that I have heard so much about. I will never forget that moment and how I felt.

Advice to an athlete:

If your heart is not in it, don't go for it. You have to want to be there at practice working hard and pushing yourself and teammates to be better. I would also tell them to give yourself compliments, not everyone is going to see everything you do on the court, so don't bring yourself down because someone didn't compliment you, do it yourself, it worked for me.

Your inspiration:

My coaches. They inspired me to work hard for everything, don't take anything for granted. They made me want to work that much harder in practice and to leave everything I have out on the court. They have helped me out a lot through my years of being in sports. If it wasn't for them I would not have gotten to where I am in sports now. They pushed me to what they knew I could do, even though I didn't think I could do it. It is because of them that I have achieved so many great things in sports.
