Volunteer work:

I volunteer through the school Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Boy Scouts of America (Eagle Scout), and through my church's youth group. (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints).

College plans:

Attend Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, majoring in exercise science. I plan to continue into medical school and become a dermatologist.

Favorite sports memory:

Each track season. I got to start as the freshman tagging along behind the seniors, and grew into my own as a leader. Our track and field teams always feel like a family, and everybody contributes to the team's success.

Advice to an athlete:

Do your homework, stay family-oriented, and push yourself to your limits. Have good character before good talent. And remember: No one gets to the top without overcoming many obstacles, so be persistent!

Your inspiration:

My younger brother has always been my inspiration during high school sports. Getting to be an example for him and watching him excel in his own sports has been an amazing experience that I wouldn't trade for anything.
