Throughout high school I have been involved in many activities. Such activities are Deca, Link Crew, Rotary Club, National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Warrior Leadership. With those activities, I have volunteered. I helped work the Fun Run, Wausau West award ceremony, youth football and basketball camps, and Salvation Army.
Attending UW-Oshkosh to pursue a degree in business. My career aspiration is to market for Nike. I am always up-to-date with whatever Nike is marketing, and I think it would be rewarding to work for the Nike company.
Favorite sports memory:
My favorite high school sports memory is the homecoming game this year for football. We played Kaukauna and beat them 42-12. That week was tons of fun, because I was voted onto homecoming court, the dress up days were great, I scored a touchdown, had a few catches, and a couple of good punt returns.
Advice to an athlete:
Keep their dreams big and their goals high, for they can be achieved. Hard work and dedication does pay off in the end, just as long as you are willing to stick with it. Also, abide by the athletic code, because once you slip up once, it gets easier and easier to keep doing it.
I have Type 1 Diabetes, so I was always battling that when I played sports. I use my diabetes as motivation to keep working hard. Having diabetes has been tough: as of March 17, it will have been my sixth year with the disease. This inspires me to do more than required, and prove to myself that I can do anything and compete with everyone.
