Athletic achievements:

Freshman year: Basketball, track and field (Leader of the Pack award).

Sophomore year: Basketball, track and field (Leader of the Pack award).

Junior year: Volleyball (captain), basketball, track and field (captain).

Senior year: Volleyball (captain, MVP), basketball (captain).

Academic honors:

High Honors every semester; National Honor Society; Dean's Scholarship from Northwestern College.

Volunteer work:

New Hope Community Church nursery; Helped with registration and coaching at summer volleyball and basketball camps; Reading at a daycare; Concessions stands, ticket booths, and line judging at sports tournaments; Collected donations for Hope Pregnancy Resource Center.

College plans:

Attending Northwestern College in Saint Paul, Minn. My major will be interdisciplinary studies. I want to become a Child Life Specialist.

Favorite sports memory:

The basketball season of my junior year was pretty cool. My team has always been the underdogs, but we had the most wins ever in a season, beat our school rivals, and held a home regional game for the first time in the history of our basketball program.

Advice to an athlete:

“Success is peace of mind which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you made the effort to become the best of which you are capable.” -John Wooden

Your inspiration

My savior Jesus. He has given me legs that can run and jump and my hands and arms that can set and serve. I have always wanted to use athletics as a way to thank Him and to give Him praise and glory.
