Springs softball turns back Lomira, 5-3, in Flyway finale

Everyone wants to go into the postseason on a good note, and in Tuesday's softball game between St. Mary's Springs and Lomira, that was going to be true for only one team.

The Ledgers earned that note, downing the Lions 5-3 at Marian University's Smith Field and avenging a loss in this season's previous matchup on April 29. The game was the last in the regular season for both teams, which have only played Flyway Conference games this year.
