About 2,900 Wisconsin Public Service Corp. customers in the Green Bay area, including parts of Howard, were without electric power for about an hour on Tuesday morning because of an equipment malfunction at a substation.

The outage was reported at about 8:30 a.m. Power was restored about an hour later.
