Fire destroyed a metal shed Tuesday at Hansen's Pallet Inc., 2731 Brown County P.

The fire was reported about 4 p.m. and crews have not yet determined if someone was in the shed at the time the fire began, said New Franken fire public information officer Carl Vanden Avond.

The shed was located behind the main building and stored wood dust from ground-up wooden pallets. Workers had evacuated before firefighters arrived and no one was hurt. A semitrailer located inside the shed was also destroyed. Damage estimates were not available.

The fire was under control within minutes and crews stayed on the scene for hours to put out hot spots.
