Oshkosh Police issued 20 citations during the beer gardens event Friday night.

Four citations were issued for open intoxicants, three for urinating in public, 10 for cross walk violations, two disorderly conduct and one for trespassing, said Joe Nichols, spokesman for the Oshkosh Police Department. Beer gardens are open air events held by taverns near the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh at the end of the spring semester.

Police also responded to two othercampus-area incidents.

A 21-year-old Racine man was also cited for making a sudden movement into traffic after he was struck by a vehicle Friday afternoon.

The man was running east across Wisconsin Street at 4:49 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle driven by a 53-year-old Oshkosh man. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital to receive stitches. The driver of the vehicle was not cited, Nichols said.

A Cleveland, Wis., man was arrested early Saturday after he pushed a police officer outside of Molly McGuire's, 539 Campus Place.

The 25-year-old man got into an altercation with a 22-year-old Milwaukee man at 1:42 a.m. The Cleveland man was escorted outside by security, but then got into an altercation with another man and eventually pushed a police officer, Nichols said.

The man was handcuffed, taken into custody and transported to the Winnebago County Jail for disorderly conduct.

The Milwaukee man also received a citation for disorderly conduct, Nichols said.
